Denny Hetzler, Co-Owner
After a 34-year career with HNI, Denny Hetzler found a new calling in helping families preserve legacies in stone. As co-owner of Heritage Monuments of Iowa, Denny brings personal care and hands-on experience to each step of the memorial process. He helps with layout, design, and monument installation.
Denny’s roots run deep in the Muscatine area. His family founded Hetzler Dairy, and that local connection helped shape his commitment to community-centered service. Today, he takes pride in listening to families’ stories and helping turn them into meaningful memorials.
Outside of work, Denny is all about family and community. He is a proud father and grandfather, a motorcycle enthusiast, and the longtime voice of Wilton High School football. Whether he is announcing a game, riding trails, or spending time with family, Denny brings the same care to life that he brings to his work.
Tom Fitzer, Co-Owner
Tom Fitzer brings a personal and heartfelt approach to Heritage Monuments of Iowa. As co-owner, he focuses on sales, custom monument design, and helping families create memorials that reflect a loved one’s life story.
Tom’s path into the monument industry began after the loss of his father. That experience showed him how important compassionate, locally rooted service can be during a difficult time. Because of this, he helped build a company centered on honesty, integrity, and personal care.
Tom is a proud member of the Wilton community. He enjoys working with local families, including many people he knows personally. Outside of work, Tom is a family man, a fifth-generation farmer, and an active member of the Wilton School Board.
Our Partnership with Greenwood Cemetery
Greenwood Cemetery is located at 1814 Lucas Street in Muscatine. The cemetery sits in a beautiful residential area overlooking the Mississippi River valley. It includes 80 acres of well-maintained lawns, stately trees, and historic memorials.
